Wings Forward Pelican
What a thrill to get to see one of these agile fliers in motion! This California Brown Pelican is navigating to land perfectly on a cliffside high above the roaring surf in La Jolla, CA. I find the determination and focus that glows in its eyes to be quite inspiring. Look at the intricate patterns of its wing feathers and the contrasting whiteness of its head feathers.
